6TH GRADE SENSITIVITY TRAINING

Dear Parents,

The PEC (Parents of Exceptional Children) is sponsoring the Disability Awareness/Sensitivity Training for all 6th grade classes in our district again this year.  The training focuses on how to be a friend with someone who looks or learns differently than you – and will be led by Melinda Jennis, from Montville Pathways.  During the workshop, there are stations where the children “experience” a disability – including physical disabilities, dyslexia, and vision and fine motor skill deficiencies.  We are looking for parent volunteers to help direct the children at these workshop stations.  The workshop dates for William Annin School are Jan 29th, Feb 6th, 8th, 10th and 12th.  The times and classroom assignments are listed below via the sign up link.  It is guaranteed to be a rewarding experience!  Thanks in advance for your support!
